The camera angle is playing tricks on you, Rick. Interesting that the Triton is a masthead rig.

That is what the caption says......

Didn't notice the masthead rig!!

I emailed the brokerage of the same name with some of the ads I had bought. A guy that was ON THE BOAT when the ad was shot from a chopper emailed me back!!!

That is some job security there!!

I noticed that school was/is in California. It stands to reason that boat is a Aeromarine Plastics, Sausalito, California TRITON, who took it upon themselves to make some changes to the original TRITON design, including shortening the rig and converting the boat to a mast head configuration.

Yes, it is certainly a WC Triton.

Pearson made some masthead rig boats as well, including my Triton, #218.

Off topic:
Speaking of my old boat, I saw it today. I went to the marina in New Orleans because I heard a report of a major fish kill in the marina (thousands of fish were floating). "My" boat looked ROUGH. The main was hanging out of the sail cover, it was filthy, and it looked like it was sitting very low in the water.
