Raining again or is it "still"?

Anything goes, as long as it falls under the general forum protocol and rules.

I know it. It's like being in Seattle but without the coffee or the glimpses of snow-capped peaks.

Go away! :shakes fist:

(Rain continues....)

Hmmph.

If it will help, I'll send some fresh home roasted coffee.

this is a record - July 7 and I lit the stove, not for atmosphere but in order to warm up.....

I hate the humidity of most summers but admit it would be a welcome change from this weather pattern we've been in.

Good coffee might just help......

Good hot coffee.

Thanks for the offer, Bluenose :) You can hold off for now but I'll let you know if the situation gets more desperate.

At least we had decent weather on the 4th. Finally got in another day sail and even hung out to watch the fireworks in Wickford, and Jamestown, and East Greenwich, and I think we saw glimpses of Newport as well. Gotta grab each sail as you can, don't miss an opportunity.

From my weather map, it looks like sunshine is just around the corner.

Enjoy all you Northeasterners.

Considering the wet spring I figured it was ok to plan some grass seed last week. Of course, it hasnt rained since. Story of my life. :)

Can you plant some more grass seed at the beginning of June NEXT year?

I PLANTED plant seeds in late May this year...

Those grass are very LUSH now. Amazingly so. But what a price, I sure am sick of the rain...

My lawn has two states.....mud or rock (it's clay). Mowing when it's mud is a problem.....it makes ruts, damages the grass and the belt driven 48" mower starts slipping. With the continued rain I had no choice, as it was getting WAY too tall (as in 10" tall). So I did the swamp thing...... Now it's drying up and I have all these ruts baked in.....It looks OK at a shallow angle from the house, but mowing has become a bit bumpy......
Out there, alone, there is only truth.

I am certain that the best money I ever spent on boating, was paying to get the grass cut.
