Talk about favorite or hated suppliers, recommend good materials or sources, or anything of the same ilk. This is also a good place to suggest unique ideas and innovations you may have come up with.

Best Polysulfide

Post by tartan30cirrus »

Did my homework and I willl be going with a POLYSULFIDE to rebed my chain plates. Is one BRAND better than another? 3M vs. LifeCaulk for example. Also, is a slower or faster cure going to give me the best seal? (Slow cure?).

Cheers,
Clint

I usually like 3M products. I have been happy with 101, but have used some LifeCaulk with fine results too. Lifecaulk is good if you want a mahogany-colored caulk rather than white (101 does not come in mahogany).
