Interdeck - mixing custom colors . . .

Talk about favorite or hated suppliers, recommend good materials or sources, or anything of the same ilk. This is also a good place to suggest unique ideas and innovations you may have come up with.

Interdeck - mixing custom colors . . .

Post by Ancient Race »

I'd like to blame the tricks of my memory on age; but the truth is that I've found myself walking into rooms and wondering why for some years now . . .

In any case, I thought I recalled reading that Tim or someone had mixed Interdeck Biege - and maybe also Grey - with White, in order to lighten the color. But no search parameters seem to dredge up what, in my mind at least, was a fairly solid recollection. And certainly no color cards . . . er, pictures.

Anyone able to reassure - or possibly distress - me?

I don't know if it is here but it is on Tim's business website. He mixed white and beige on the Ariel project.

I might just have to steal that idea too.

Work is overrated.

Most everything you read on the Internet is wrong.

Here are two threads that discuss it:

Thanks to both of you: just what I was looking for. And a great relief that only my query skills, and not my memory, are flawed.

I like the result.

Recently had a bit of personal experience with this kind of thing:

We used awlgrip all around, and mixed their medium gray 1:6 with matterhorn white. It was surprisingly dark, but we liked it a lot.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: be aware that the white:color ratio might be pretty high.

Glad we did it this way, as it's really different and looks cool. It's a blend of our hull and deck colors, so everything matches up nice.
