Today I tried one for cutting a layer of excess cured fiberglass off overhanging a radius... and it worked great to cut it off flush.
It is almost as fast as using a metal cutoff wheel on a mini grinder like I've been using the last few years... but is much, much more controllable.

I have been using regular metal cut off wheels in my Dremel. So far, it has been very useful.

Re: Dremel tool, diamond wheel for trimming fiberglass
My dad has one of these and managed to find a tiny carbide tipped blade that was the right size of the saw. The arbor hole was a bit to small, a few thou or so, so some slow dremelling and it was enlarged to fit. Don't remember the brand, Vermont? It was in a red package. Now this thing seriously erases fibreglass. There is a bit of chip out, but for the kind of stuff that I'm using it for, I have to grind out a bevel anyways, so it is a moot point. Definitely worth the hunt.

The tool isn't handy right now, but a quick web hunt came up with this: I'm pretty sure this is what we picked up, or an earlier version.

So far it has worked far better than expected. I've done the same kind of thing finding a small blade like this and getting it on an angle grinder. That's even nastier and without the baseplate, it is harder to control. But the beauty there, is you can use it like a carving tool.
Just play smart. Watch the max RPMs on the tools/blades, wear safety gear and hang on to the tool like you mean it.
