shop vac filters

Post by petemarkey »

So I have been very happy with my ridgid shop vac over the years, I probably use the filters longer than I should because they are 15 bucks a piece.

Anyone know where to get them cheaper?
Or...
Have you tried alternatives? For instance, on craiglists some guy was selling basically panty hose that you wrapped around the filter to make it last longer.

this year I sprung for the "professional" kit for my ridgid, which includes a longer, more flexible hose. its worth it for like 20 bucks.

I get the best prices on Shop-Vac filters (Shop-Vac brand, not Ridgid) at Amazon. Worth a look...
