Triton #466 has apparently been abandoned in a yard down on Long Island, NY, and is in need of a new owner looking for a project.
Here's the information I have:
The boat is under the stewardship Oyster Bay Marine Center, Oyster Bay, Long Island. The contact person (yard master at the boatyard) is John Magrain: 516-922-6331. The boat is physically located at the Town of Oyster Bay's Teddy Roosevelt Marina.
If you contact John about this boat, please say you found out about it from the New England Triton Association, so that he knows what you're talking about.
Reports are that the hull is in decent shape, with a rebuilt Atomic 4 at some time in the past (no one remembers when). Woodwork is rough. Mast, roller furling, and other gear is with the boat, but removable items like sails may or may not be readily available.
Anyone interested???
