Looks like the bottom paint had trapped a bit of moisture in gelcoat, a few picture have been been added to my blog

Tampa, Thank you. I printed off the west system blister guide. Gonna study up on it while is gather supplies. Boat has been on the hard for about 9 months. Hull should be quite dry but going to let it sit without paint and covered for another month before beginning repairs. In the meantime there are...

charlie and early thank you, I had forgotten about an Alberg that used IPE here locally for a toe/rub rail in one. It looked great. Now let me me change the question just a bit, what if you were going to paint the toe rail? I am not to keen on varnish or the grey look. Actually love the varnish look...

This week I finally got the top on the boat shed I have been working on. I am happy to say that the boat is dry even though it is raining quite heavily out right now. I am working on a blog write up with the details of the shed build. Let the refit begin!

That wheel and hub combo is interesting. I haven't seen that type before. These are old dexter axles, common uses were mobile homes and low boy construction type trailers. They have a 6000lb rating, the tires I bought are 14ply load range G When you put the hub back into the wheel, how are you sure...

Warmer weather is upon us here in Virginia. I have been able to get out everyday this week and chip away at the trailer...Soon there will be a sailboat on it and in my posts!

Got some new rubber on the trailer. Weather was pretty crappy all weekend but sun is shining now. Looks like I should get some good progress this week. Hope to finish the trailer up real soon.

Thanks Crazer, Order a new coupler Monday, 12,500lb bull dog....still hasn't arrived yet(from NC to VA.....HMMM)....and then this wet weather has turned my yard into a small pond.....so not much will get done on the trailer this weekend I am afraid. I may take wheels and hubs off and repack the bear...

yes, 3 in fact....Lincoln 135(110V) unit, which i am using in my yard to tack additional mods on trailer. I have a Lincoln pro Tig 175 for smaller project, stainless work and smaller gauge stuff and a Lincoln power mig 255, heavy duty welder... which I will use on the trailer to complete all the fin...

Thanks to everyone who offered up help. James Baldwin of Atomvoyage.com was a great help. He not only provided dimensions but also pictures and a sketch. I will be posting pictures and measurements on my blog as I go.
