I have been searching for a new mast. This guy has one on eBay that MIGHT work for may boat, but he wants $5000 for it. I sent him a message and asked how he thought his 40 year old mast was worth $5000 when I had Z spar quote me a brand new mast, complete, built just for me, for $5800, and even $28...

I guess it all depends what you have in your boat. I am designing my system for 6v golf cart batteries. two for the engine and 4 for the house. This might ever be over kill so i will most likely start with two for the engine and two for the house but with room to expand to 4 batteries for the house....

Could you not counter sink the screw holes and chamfer the edges of larger holes if there are any. This would leave an area where the sealing material can accumulate and not be compleatly squeesed out. Of course I did not come up with this on my own I had seen this done when bedding deck hardare.
