Will it be a flat panel type of Lexan cover? If so go to any glass shop with the dimensions and they can cut one for you. Or have a few made, they don't look very clear forever. Or try Home depot, Lowes, etc,

The real problem with SS chainplates is where they pass through the deck, this is where corrosion sets in. They work well for external chainplates though. I would stick with Silicone Bronze when replacing. HEY!! What do I know???I'm just a kid!!!

It's a storage mount for the outboard when you leave the boat and don't want it stolen, look around and you'll find a pan to catch the dripped fluids. either that or it's a WALNUT CRACKER!!!!

Go to a reputable hose vender such as a place that makes up hydraulic hose,( check the yellow pages or on line) they will have the correct size you need. What you need is called: Suction Hose. You can use different hose but this type is easy to work with and very durable.

I use a shop vac when sanding or grinding, it really knocks down the dust. On my random orbital, I remove the dust collector and put the shop vac hose right into the exhaust , no dust.

Scott, before your team starts measuring and installing bulkheads and fixtures , place the deck on even if it's only temporary so the the hull isn't distorted when glassing in. You sure don't want to end up with a deck that doesn't fit.

The more I look at the pictures I don't see how the replacement deck fits because that is not the Ensign style transom, something is way off there. I'm not talking about the wood, it's the shape.

Batteries have an uncanny ability to attract moisture/ condensation (sweat). Are your batteries in a plastic battery box? After rebuilding the wood go with a battery box to encase the batteries.

OR..... maybe ..... A two post quick connect lead to the batteries for a charger, you can buy the whole shebang from a truck parts house or maybe a RV dealer. The connect is generally used for semi trucks when they have a hydraulic lift tailgate on the trailer. Or a romantic recessed mood light !!!!!!
