Bootstripe repainting/relocation

My 1984 Sea Sprite 30 sits relatively low and also quite down by the bow when at rest, which causes fouling of the bootstripe forward and just bothers me because it looks weird. The bootstripe itself is gelcoat and is quite faded, so I would like to repaint it. My debate is whether I repaint it in i...

Funny, that's almost exactly what I ended up doing....a sail tie looped around the two conveniently mounted cleats on either side of the mast. Vang angle is shallower than ideal, but it worked and is certainly a lot better than nothing. I guess I was too busy sailing to ever get back and post about ...

Definitely not either a SS30 or a 28. I have no idea what the boat is either. Almost looks like a keel centerboard based on the shallow keel? For a second I thought C&C Redwing but that is a fin keel boat with 3 ports, not 4. Curious to see what the answer is to this one... For comparison, here ...

My rig is keel stepped, so it's not going anywhere, but I agree that I wouldn't want the rig moving around in a strong winter storm... I will probably slack off everything just a few turns and leave it at that - once the sailmaker measures the rig for new sails, of course!

If the boat is rigged with a spinnaker (and I do see a track on the front of the mast), the lines might help keep the chute from getting tangled up between the shrouds on hoists and drops.
