Yes indeed Dennis, that is the Sea Sprite 23 that I lifted off the SS forum. Good catch! It was such a unique modification that I had to go didging around until I found it again. And sadly, no, that is not Sea Glass in the background. I'm looking at her now in the back yard....

I've always liked the Kenner Privateers - and what a perfect hull design to remake into a schooner. She looks fantastic! And an electric conversion to boot... It looks like she sails really nicely from your video too. In your line drawing for the rig, it looks like you've got one of these butterfly ...

Two thumbs way up! When I finished, I had that, "oh no, I'm done, now what will I read?" feeling. I consider many cruising books to be written by cruisers who write books about cruising (not necessarily a bad thing). But, I would put this one in the category of a writer who happens to crui...

I just quickly checked NE Sailboat Rescue ( http://nesr.wordpress.com/2010/11/26/pearson-commander/#more-570 ) and he posted a Commander for sale in November. There's really not much more info on "the installation". I had water a algae in the fuel tank this year thanks to a failed o-ring on my fuel cap. This restarted me thinking about my fuel fill location. So... aiming for a truly portable fuel tank might be a waste of time because each time y...

I'm still mulling this over and haven't researched tanks or connections or anything yet. Portable Diesel Tank?
This was suggested on the Ariel forum and I thought it was a great idea. And since diesels are much less frequent per capita on that forum, I thought I'd ask the collective here for some additional input. I only go through 1 or 2 gallons a year, and a 12-14 gallon tank seems unnecessary. This setup ...

Jeff, I'm guessing that you don't have too many decent boat working days left in Minnesota at this point. I agree with Rachel. Rigging questions aside, I really like the looks of the boat aesthetically - except the deadlights. It looks like a comfy and secure cockpit with the wrap around coamings, and I like how the coaming cap is incorporated with the eye brows. With no forecabin trunk, it's got a work...
