Re: J/24 For Mom

Vermiculite? My initial answer is no. I just removed the ice from the bilge yesterday. The bilge is completely glassed with a 4 x 6 inch bilge sump behind the lifting strap. In my research It appears that some of the first boats were spared from the now terrible idea. I am hoping this one was pre-ve...

J/24 For Mom

Every spouse should have their own boat, mine chose a J/24. Of Course I get to bring it back to shape to race as my wife is active in the local J/24 Race fleet. The Project: 1977 J/24 Hull number 167. I picked up this boat locally for short money, the problem is it needs a good amount of work to bri...

Thats it,

I had a leak in my holding tank line which left my bilge a little ripe. I cleaned my bilge then added a splash of pool bleach to finish the cleaning. It must have been the pool chemical. Thank's for the reply. I was not thinking in that direction.

Black Brass

Heres a question. I went to winterize my A4 in my renegade yesterday, which has been sitting in my yard for a month and noticed all the brass fittings in the engine compartment had turned black, which does not rub off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Well its that time of year. I went looking for my trusty porter cable random orbit sander and it seems to have disappeared. What a sight to make sore eyes.

My renegade is overpowered with my A4, that engine is huge, thats overkill.

Fig, I don't know if a steam cleaning would be enough after seeing the pictures.
